Treblinka, major Nazi German concentration camp and extermination camp, located near the village of Treblinka, Poland, 50 miles (80 km) northeast of Warsaw on the main Warsaw-Bialystok railway line. There were actually two camps. The Nazis opened the first, Treblinka, 2.5 miles (4 km) from the railway station in December 1941 as a small forced-labour camp.
